Went Fishing, Aikens Lake Lodge, Am Relaxed

Everyone should do this. Men Women Children. It's easy when the guide is willing to bait your hook, remove the fish you catch from the baited hook. And clean and cook the fish for a great shore lunch.

Aikens Lake Wilderness lodge really is an exceptional experience.

Over the past few years they have sunk some heavy coin into making that place a world class resort.

The pine furnature is superbly crafted and the cabins and main lodge are warm and comfortable, beyond expectations.

Walleye was our fish of choice for the few days we were there. We chose to go out after dinner a couple of evenings and the only thing I didn't catch was a 28" Master Angler. But I came close and at a certain point they seemed not to want to stay off the hook.

It is a well managed resort and the staff are fun and make the stay very special.
